Getting Started!
First, decide if you want a custom or pre-made album. There is a simple way to find out which one is right for you. If you are overwhelmed with your photos and don’t have any time to devote to them, a custom album would be the one for you. If you don’t have the ability to create the pages you’d like but still want the creative control over which pictures go where, a pre-made album would be your best option. In addition to designing one or the other, I can also combine the two and create some pages with the photos you give me and some where you can add them later.
We will consult by e-mail, phone or in person to discuss your vision in detail. This will allow me to get a sense of exactly what you’re looking for, what you want or do not want will be nailed down before I begin any work.
After signing the contract and receiving your 50% deposit I will begin working on your scrapbook!
If you are getting a custom made, you will need to send me your photos. Photos on CD can be printed for an additional fee of $0.25 per photo. If you have any embelishments, paper or memorabilia of your own that you want included please send them with your photos. I strongly recommend that you keep either the negatives of traditional prints, or save digital images to a CD for future use.
The more information you provide the better the look of your scrapbook! Please add names, dates, locations and any stories and include with each group of photos. Printed descriptions are preferred so there are no mistakes. I have a worksheet to help you, if you choose to use it please include it with your photos. Please put each group of photos, any memorabilia and the description of the event in an envelope or zip lock bag so they stay together. If there is a specific order you would like them in please include that as well.
You can email or call me throughout the design process with any questions or sudden inspirations you may have. I will send you pictures of the first few layouts via email to make sure we are on the same page and I am designing to your vision.
I will notify you as soon as your scrapbook is completed. Final payment is required within ten (10) days after notification. Your scrapbook will be shipped within 48 hours after payment is received along with any unused photos and/or memorabilia.
